The power of manifestation is an idea that you can turn your dreams, goals, and desires to a reality all through your focused thoughts and actions. I believe that manifestation is one of the greatest powers an individual can have. Any words that a person speaks can come true...but it definitely is not that easy. Manifestation is not only saying to others about a multitude of aspirations you have for your life, but it is also putting in the hard work in order to attain those dreams and goals.

The Law of Attraction is a philosophical idea that positive or negative thoughts correlate with the experiences anyone faces and how they perceive their goals. If I consistently believe that I can do well on all of my chemistry tests and make progress by studying early or by reviewing my notes regularly, I am more likely to achieve it. With more positive thinking like "I can do it," it would prompt me to genuinely believe that and work towards reaching my goal. If you manifest and commit to taking the necessary steps needed, those dreams will not just be a mere hope for your future, but it will evolve into real, fulfilling experiences in your life.

In one of my classes, I had an assignment to create a vision board, which was mean to list all of my goals for the year, in hopes of motivating me to work harder to achieve those goals by the end of 2025. When I first created it, I thought it was a great piece of artwork. It was organized, colorful, and looked like a real scrapbook, which are all aspects of a vision board I love to see. However, the more and more I looked at it, it became more than just a vision board full of my manifestations. Instead, it turned out to be a motivator and a daily reminder of what I want, to stay clear on my goals, and to track progress on all the small milestones that lead up to the ultimate goal.

Manifesting does not even have to be on vision boards, it can even be positive affirmations that you can say in order to motivate yourself to reach towards your goal's destination especially during tumultuous and strenuous times.

The power of manifestation stems from an individual's mindset. Keeping your eye on the prize is definitely a motivator in times of challenges as it fuels passion and hard work. Believing in yourself that you can succeed transforms your mindset by viewing obstacles as opportunities to grow for the better and drives your motivation to make all your dreams come to life.

  1. Hello again Michelle! Funnily enough, I have never before actually heard of “Manifestation” as a type of power, which is an extremely fascinating concept to be sure. I interpret this idea as more of the power of unchecked ambition, of someone not knowing when to stop and thus just charging forward at any unrealistic goal. A pragmatist may decry such action as unrealistic and inconceivable, but when a person doesn’t know something is impossible, they can sometimes achieve it. As such, I think that for someone to reach the absolute peak of their potential, they must have this relentlessness to them, as well as the ability to tackle problems and failure head on, to not be dissuaded by negative results. I enjoyed your example of you having your own vision board for the year and constantly looking at it to try to manifest your desires into reality. As you said, if you desire it enough, you can probably make it happen in the future. Good luck, and I hope to read more of your reading in the next topic, language and power.

  2. Hey Michelle! I never truly believed in the “power of manifestation” because I always thought that it was wishful thinking and that nobody but ourselves can influence the outcome that we have regarding the task we are doing. However, reading your blog has made me realize that I did not understand the true meaning of manifesting something. Now I realize that manifestation is not wishful thinking but rather having a positive, growth mindset about the issue. I agree with this idea because I have seen that when I trust myself and do not second guess my intuition, I often perform better on tests. Overthinking is usually what makes me get answers incorrect and a positive mindset ensures that there is little overthinking, thus helping people achieve their dreams. I also really liked the idea about having a vision board. Although I know that I will probably make the board and then proceed to forget about it, I can imagine that it would be helpful for other people who are more conscious about what they hope to achieve in the future. Your blog has definitely helped me understand what it means to manifest something and I will be sure to use this strategy on the upcoming tests in class!

  3. Hey Michelle!

Reading your blog this week reminded me of another theory that I heard about. I can't quite recall its name, but it was the idea that "if there is something that worries us, then there is a higher probability of that thing happening and impacting us negatively." This makes some sense to me, but it's more likely that this was just a superstition my mother told me. My quick Google searches have confirmed that it is, in fact, not an actual theory.

I wish I had a class that had fun assignments like yours! Having that clear, tangible representation of your goals is definitely an efficient way to keep yourself motivated and remind yourself of the end goal, even if that is far off in the future.

I can definitely relate to what you said about "viewing obstacles as opportunities," as every time I encounter a challenge that I'm unsure I can overcome, I tell myself that I am grateful for the opportunity to improve myself and gain experience, regardless of the outcome.
